Don't tell anybody but newspapers are still cool.  

They're cool like Johnny Cash was cool.  (full disclosure: I was in the Navy with Johnny.*)

 I love them and we've been lucky enough to have worked for and continue to work for some of the best in the country starting with my hometown paper, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, later The Wall Street Journal (wsj.com), later still The Rome News Tribune and most recently The Washington Post Writers Group who currently syndicate the editorial cartoons and comic strip, "Mike Du Jour".

*Not true but I wish it was.
